Who Should Attend?
State VOCA victim assistance and crime victim compensation managers, staff and Board members who would like up-to-date information to improve the effectiveness and results of their programs. The conference will focus primarily on the knowledge, experience and strategies helpful to improve program performance and grant management in order to better serve victims of crime.

This conference is NOT open to VOCA subgrantees, other direct service providers, trainers, educators or others not directly responsible for or employed by the state agency designated to administer VOCA victim assistance formula grants or state crime victim compensation programs.

Conference Registration Information
This year's conference is being held with the support of the Office for Victims of Crime. There is no registration fee for eligible participants to attend the conference.

The conference will formally begin Tuesday morning, August 15, 2017 and end at approximately 12 noon, Thursday, August 17, 2017. Participants should plan to arrive on Monday, August 14 and leave Thursday afternoon, August 17; some rooms are available for Thursday night for those unable to depart Thursday afternoon.  A pre-conference session is planned for 3:00 pm on Monday, August 21.

The cutoff date for making hotel room reservations at the conference rate is Friday, July 21, 2017.

The hotel room rate for the conference is at the government rate of $172.00/night for single or double occupancy plus 14.5% ($24.94) local tax. The rate for triple occupancy is $192/night and for quadruple occupancy is $212/night, plus local tax.

Reservations at the government rate cannot be guaranteed once the reservation block is full, even if before the cut-off date. The hotel will honor the government room rate for three days prior to and after the conference depending on room availability.

A deposit equal to one night’s stay for each of the confirmed rooms will be due from individuals attending the conference. All deposits for individual room reservations are fully refundable if a room is canceled three days or more prior to arrival date.
