The purpose of this funding is to support the provision of services to crime victims in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities through a discretionary administrative formula program funded under a set-aside from the Crime Victims Fund (CVF). The program is not competitive and is open only to federally recognized Indian Tribes (applying individually or as consortia), ANCSA regional corporations, and their authorized designees. The funding may be used for a broad range of expenses that are reasonable and necessary to serve crime victims.
