Building and Managing Volunteer Programs

Volunteers bring passion to victim service organizations, and mindful management of these volunteers is essential to advancing an organization’s mission and expanding its services.

In the Building and Managing Volunteer Programs training you will learn the importance of volunteers; how to recruit, screen, onboard, and retain them; and how to determine the costs associated with managing them.

The intended audience for this training is current or aspiring volunteer managers in victim service agencies, whether or not they are funded by the Victims of Crime Act.

This training will be delivered online, over the course of 3 weeks, beginning on February 23, 2026. Each week, except for the introductory week, will include a facilitated webinar.
