As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms the research landscape, applied researchers in the justice arena face new opportunities and challenges in how these tools are applied to study crime, policy, and public safety. This interactive webinar provides an overview of how AI can be responsibly integrated into SACs research, offering an introduction to the ethical deployment of AI in justice policy research. Special attention will be given to maintaining transparency, reliability, and methodological rigor when AI tools are used. The session will also examine considerations regarding the use of AI for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
