DESCRIPTION:Since 1981\, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieving justice for all victims of crime. During NCVRW\, we recognize the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement and reflect on how far we have come. \nEvery April\, the Office of Justice Program’s Office for Victims of Crime leads communities throughout the country in their annual observances of NCVRW. Together\, we will commemorate NCVRW April 19–25\, 2026.

SUMMARY:Elder Abuse Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator Training Registration
DESCRIPTION:MDT coordinators fill a critical role on elder abuse MDTs\, yet few educational resources exist to support their professional development. The Multidisciplinary Team Technical Assistance Center (MDT TAC) is offering a no-cost\, 2-day virtual training on three separate occasions specifically for Elder Abuse MDT Coordinators. In groups of approximately 10– 15 Coordinators\, fundamental Coordinator skill-building will be achieved through 10 educational modules that can be adapted to different needs and levels of experience.   \nTopics include: \n\nThe Role of the MDT Coordinator\nCreating a Strong Foundation\nUtilizing Best Practices to Serve Older Adults\nUnderstanding Confidentiality\nFacilitating Team Meetings\nBuilding a Culture of Collaboration\nEnhancing Team Engagement\nNavigating Team Dynamics\nProgram Evaluation\nBurnout and Self-Care\, and more\n\nThis is a two (2) day training and participants must register for both days. \n10:00am-1:30pm ET; April 23\, 2026 – Day 1 Registration; April 24\, 2026 – Day 2 Registration \n*This is not a NAVAA-hosted event.  Please see the registration page for contact details.*
