The balance of the Crime Victims Fund (CVF) is in jeopardy as deposits remain low and funds are being used for non VOCA related programming. In order to stabilize and maintain the CVF for use in the future, NAVAA is beginning to better engage federal policy makers on possible changes to the VOCA statute and appropriation. To do this effectively, we need the help of our SAAs to inform and execute uniform messaging to Congressional leaders in each state and territory.
On Monday, June 15th at 2pm EST NAVAA hosted it’s first Education and Advocacy webinar to share the FY21 policy agenda and provide an overview on opportunities for states to engage their Congressional partners in consistent messaging to support the CVF.
