  3. Virtual 2021 National Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Assistance and Compensation Conference

The virtual 2021 National Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Assistance and Compensation Conference brings staff and board members of VOCAVictim Assistance and Victim Compensation programs together annually with their federal colleagues. This conference is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Justice Programs, Office for Victims of Crime, and hosted by the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators (NAVAA) and the National Association of Crime Victim Compensation Boards (NACVCB). This conference is a unique opportunity for the staff and boards of VOCA administering agencies in states, territories, and the District of Columbia to obtain critical information about ways to improve program and grant management and learn about promising practices and innovations. The conference provides a forum for administrators to exchange information, experiences, and ideas with people with similar responsibilities, as well as meet with federal officials, colleagues, and other allied professionals.

While the 2021 Annual VOCA Conference has not yet received final approval, we would like to provide the anticipated dates for ease of scheduling. Upon formal approval, NAVAA, NACVCB, and the Office for Victims of Crime will host the 2021 Annual VOCA Conference September 20-23, 2021. We anticipate the conference being fully virtual, with sessions running 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM EST every day. We additionally anticipate pre- and post-conference sessions.  Formal registration will open when the conference receives final approval. Until then, please save the dates.
