BJS Releases Violent Victimization with a Firearm, 2024

The Bureau of Justice Statistics, in the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, released Violent Victimization with a Firearm, 2024 today. It provides statistics on violent victimizations involving firearms in the United States for 2023 and 2024. 

This “Just the Stats” report details violent victimizations involving firearms, based on data reported by law enforcement agencies. The data used to produce this report are from the BJS and FBI National Incident-Based Reporting System, or NIBRS, Estimation Program for 2023 and 2024.
