National Mass Violence Center
The National Mass Violence Center serves as the source for best evidence to achieve a social understanding of mass violence upon which civic leaders, mental health professionals, journalists, policy makers, and victim assistance professionals can rely. The Center is composed of a multi-disciplinary team of scholars, researchers, victim assistance professionals, partner organizations, technical experts, and relevant local and national organizations in a multifaceted team that collaborates with OVC. Their consultant team includes leaders in many fields who have tremendous expertise, knowledge and experience with mass violence victim assistance, policies related to survivors’ rights and services, and practices to promote justice and healing.

- Virtual Resiliency Center
The Virtual Resiliency Center (VRC) is a website, not a physical location, that can be developed with NMVC technical support to assist victims after a mass violence incident. The VRC provides a customizable framework for local communities to share incident-specific information, such as Family Assistance Center locations, vigils, local service contacts, and other resources. The site remains under local control and is pre-populated with helpful mental and behavioral health information, allowing communities to quickly provide support without building a resource site from the ground up.
